In Remembrance of our Former Metro Athletes

To the Staff, Students, Friends & Families in Mourning,

We are left to grieve the passing of 4 former Metro athletes following the tragic bus crash involving the Humboldt Broncos.

Metro Athletics prides itself on the strength of our people and the relationships it builds throughout various seasons.  Many seasons involving bus rides on those same stretches of highway connecting schools across this vast province. These rides not only connect our schools, but also help to forge lasting bonds and unite our teams. Athletes devote countless hours on the road laughing and loving the time they spend with teammates and coaches. 

All too often we take for granted the standard trip from school to out of town tournaments and back again. We ask that you take the time to recognize those who transport our athletes safely to the games that they all love. 

As we remember these former Metro stars, among the many affected by this unfortunate accident, we know they will forever be in our hearts. With our fallen athletes in mind, may you all continue to strive for the very competition they lived for.
